Mixed-media and installation artists Anne Roecklein and Derek Parker have reached across the conceptual gap of their individual practices to create a new collaborative installation for is183. Though these artists typically work in differing ways, they share a preoccupation with the processes, order, and beauty of the natural world. It is through this convergent interest that electro-synthetic was born: a mixture of industrial processes, electricity, quasi-organic systems, plastic, color, light, and more.
